Fusion Rainwater Harvesting System 3 :


The Simplified Design


Description


This ‘Simplified Design’ do not used barrier to trap the rainwater. Now the barrier is replaced by drainage. Without any physical barrier, the uses of machineries i.e. combine harvester, rice planting machine are possible in the system. A simple bridge made above the drainage can be constructed for these machines to cross the drainage. The square shape pond with vertical deep down wall maximizes the rainwater harvesting capability. It is also easier to construct as compared to the circle shape. The drainage is joins to the edge of the square pond for easy rainwater flow diverting.


Meanwhile, the missing of physical barrier makes this system vulnerable to contamination. Therefore, the user needs to observe during raining time whether having any sewage water flow into this system. If this happen, then the user needs to dig a drainage to divert this sewage water flow to other place.

Fig. 4 - The gradient walk way connect the ground to the bottom of pond. It uses for user easy to take the pond water of any level. It also help to make the rainwater flow gradually to the pond making less turbulence in the pond water. This make the pond water relatively clean





Fig. 5 - The buffer pond is wider and deeper as compared to drainage. This is to ensure that the buffer pond can keep enough rainwater volume before the water flow into the pond via the gradient walk way. If not the buffer pond may easily overflow which slower the drainage rainwater to enter in it

Fig. 7 - Picture shows the fence is included in the pond design. It can effectively block the people especially children from accidentally fall into the pond





Fig. 8 - The houses or local sewage system must not keep very near to the system drainage to avoid water contamination of this sewage water to the drainage water during raining
